Why do posting YouTube musicians not seem to expect criticism from other than gushing fans, family or friends?

I don't get the astonished naivete and appalled hurt reactions
composers and performers often have when they get a less than gush
opinion as given by one nutter or professional commenting on the
composition / performance AS POSTED ON YOUTUBE.

You just hung it up in public, dear! It now stands side by side in the
company of many truly professional quality pieces and / or
performances. To expect any and all sorts of comment seems like common
sense, but awareness of its being in public and therefore an
open-season 'target,' seems to elude many. Are people so insulated or
blindly praised and complimented to a degree where they have become
completely unaware of what it means "To Go Public?

Is there an unwritten law that the YouTube comments area is only for
superlative comments and reviews? Ditto Y/A when you post a Q with a
link and ask for comments on a composition / performance ~ and in the
classical category, LOL!
